Melissa Sukach RYT-200, NCPT

Hi, I'm Melissa. I created Bhramari Wellness after seeing a need for a holistic healing space that supplemented western medicine and popular exercise modalities. I am a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher, and am currently in the process of obtaining my certification from the International Association of Yoga Therapists. My goal is to help you reconnect with your body, mind, and spirit to find complete and lasting wellness.
When I am not in the studio I love spending time with my husband and our two kids. We are usually looking for a new outdoor adventure and something exciting to explore. My heart is in the mountains and I feel at peace next to the water, surrounded by trees.

I look forward to working with you to find your own peace and a path to healing.
What is Bhramari?
Bhramari is the Hindu goddess of bees...but what does that have to do with yoga?
Therapeutic breathwork, called pranayama, is an integral part of a complete yoga practice, and there are many different techniques that can be utilized. One such technique is called Bhramari Pranayama, or Bee Breath. Some of the benefits of practicing Bhramari Pranayama are higher levels of attention, quality of sleep, parasympathetic activity, and pulmonary functioning and lower levels of stress, anxiety, depression, sympathetic activity, and blood pressure! This list of potential benefits encompasses many of the concerns that lead people to seek out yoga therapy. If felt like the perfect encapsulation of the practice in one word.

Bonus: Melissa is the Greek goddess of bees and Melissa means honey bee!
